Another NRA backed bill has passed and been signed by Governor Rick Perry. The bill was signed back in May but went into effect September 1, 2011. The bill, which is being refered to as the Employee Parking Lot bill,was actually represented incorrectly on many of the local news stations.

It's More Than Just A Gun -
It's a super cold day in Texas today with some wet kind of sleet coming down. This is not the type of weather you really want to be out at the outdoor range practicing your home self-defense. Being stuck inside doesn't mean the whole day is wasted. This indoor weather is the best time to do two things.

When women look for a firearm, be that a pistol or a rifle there are considerations that the average man does not need to be concerned with. The average woman has a smaller hand than the average man and a shorter arm span also. As I am sure you have found, guns are marketed for men or children. Yep you either get a full length rifle or a little youth version.
